The prosthetics and orthotics unit compliments other rehabilitation services. Following surgery, clients who need Orthopaedic appliances can be fitted and trained in the P&O unit.
Main devices made: The P&O unit provides not only AFOS, and artificial limbs but all types of accommodative, corrective and supportive devices. The Orthopaedic Technologists measure, fabricate, and fit patients with both upper and lower artificial lower limbs (Prostheses). Beneficiaries include patients who have experienced amputation either as a result of trauma, congenital deformities and or through surgical procedures.
