About Us

CoRSU Hospital serves people from all walks of life without discrimination. We provide treatment (surgery and rehabilitation) to patients of all age groups (both children and adults). Patients below the age of 18 years receive services at a subsidized rate, whereas adults pay fully for their treatment and rehabilitation. Patients that seek CoRSU services come from all over Uganda and the East Africa region, including Rwanda, Burundi and South Sudan. Most of these patients present with conditions like bone deformities, bone infections and those that require plastic and reconstructive surgeries. Additionally, the Hospital has a robust Rehabilitation Department that offers therapy services including physiotherapy, occupational therapy, Speech and Language therapy, Educational and play therapy, and Psychosocial therapy. Other services include fabrication and provision of prostheses and orthoses. The Hospital is also an internship site for placement of medical students from various Universities like Mbarara and Busitema Universities, as well as Universities from Europe, Canada, and the United States of America. We also collaborate with local and international institutions to conduct research studies.
