Nutrition services
Nutrition assessments, inpatient care, caregiver education and take-home food packages for children with disability.
Overview
About nutrition
CoRSU offers nutrition services to children with disability, including assessments, inpatient care, caregiver education and take-home nutritious packages for vulnerable children. The aim is to address malnutrition and to promote recovery.
Good nutrition often has to come first. A child who is underweight may need nutrition support before they are strong enough for surgery, and many of the children the clinic supports were born with a cleft lip or palate.
A dysphagia clinic addresses feeding and swallowing difficulties in children with oral-facial and neurodevelopmental disabilities.
