Alongside our donors, CoRSU works with institutions that share skills, technology and training. These partnerships help our teams offer more, and help train the next generation of specialists.

How we work with institutions

Teaching and placements
CoRSU is an internship site for medical students from Mbarara and Busitema Universities, and from universities in Europe, Canada and the United States of America.

Surgical training
In 2023 CoRSU was accredited by COSECSA, the College of Surgeons of East, Central and Southern Africa, to train fellows in plastic surgery.

Assistive technology
In 2024 CoRSU resumed 3D printing of assistive devices and entered a partnership with the Italian company Medere for training in 3D technologies.
