The people behind our work

Every operation, therapy session and home visit belongs to someone with plans of their own. These are a few of their stories, in the words of the patients and families who lived them.

Daniel's journey from his first feeds to speech therapy

Daniel was three days old and losing weight when his mother, Rehema, brought him to CoRSU. Nutrition support came first, then two operations, then speech and language therapy.

    Vivian can stand, walk, run and play without pain

    Seven-year-old Vivian was born with bowed legs, and walking long distances was painful. A community mobiliser referred her to CoRSU, where surgery corrected her legs.

    Ezekiel's parents walked the journey together

    Ezekiel was one week old when his parents brought him to CoRSU. They never missed an appointment. In November 2024 he turned three, and the family came back to share his cake with staff.

  • Fistula (VVF) services

    Flavia can walk, run and dance without fear

    After the birth of her third child, Flavia lived with a childbirth injury for about three years. A radio advert led her to free surgery and rehabilitation at CoRSU.
