Obstetric fistula (leaking urine after childbirth)(01)
Brenda has a second chance after fistula surgery
At 23, a traumatic childbirth left Brenda leaking urine and hiding at home. A community mobiliser told her about a screening, and surgery at CoRSU, supported by Fistula Foundation, gave her back her confidence.
“I just want to thank the CoRSU team for giving me a second chance.”
After the birth of her third child, Flavia lived with a childbirth injury for about three years. A radio advert led her to free surgery and rehabilitation at CoRSU.
“Thank you Fistula Foundation for helping me feel like a woman again. I can walk, run, and dance without fear.”
